Michael Barber is an effective and engaging facilitator with over 25 years of experience in training and organization development. Michael has experience working with federal agencies, state/local governments, non-profits, associations, and commercial clients. Michael provides personal and professional development programs on a wide variety of personal and professional development topics, such as presentation skills, leadership development, communication, and customer service. His organization development services include strategic planning design and facilitation, team development, and change management.
Michael is co-author of a case study that appeared in Donald Kirkpatrick’s 2005 book, Transferring Learning to Behaviors: Using the Four Levels to Attack One of Training’s Biggest Challenges. The study linked classroom learning to tangible business results. He also has an extensive background in all aspects of training design and delivery, performance improvement methods, and organization, team, and individual development.
Michael earned his Masters of Science in Organization Development from American University, and his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from West Virginia University. He is a certified Executive Coach and Situational Leadership Instructor. He also holds certifications in the FIRO Element-B Behavioral Assessment and Apter Motivational Style Profile (AMSP).
